Use organic towels instead of conventional ones

Give up old threadbare towels for new, eco-friendlier ones made from bamboo and organic cotton. Conventional cotton accounts for more than 10% of the world's pesticide use and almost 25% of its insecticides; choosing organic can help lower those numbers. Organic towels are soft (especially the bamboo blends) and absorbent.

Ideas for recycling old towels: Cut them into smaller pieces for dishcloths, dusters, potholders, or rags; or put them to use for your pet, as wet-feet dryers, or blankets.
