Friday Update
Vacation day, still could not sleep in much, even though I was up until 10:30. I was up before 6 and have been wasting time on the 'puter. Time to find the pumpkin carving tools and work on some projects around the house. Thomas and Diedre will be here tomorrow. I hope to take a ride in the new vehicle.

Thursday Update
Not much to blog today. This is my Friday, I took a vacation day tomorrow. I think I am going to try to sleep in. Thomas and Diedre plan to drive down on Saturday to show off the new vehicle. It will be nice to see them. Poor Bobo is not feeling well, she came home sick yesterday :(

Wednesday Update
Yesterday the electricity went out for almost 2 hours at work because of the strong winds. Unfortunately, the phones only went out for about 10 minutes towards the end of that time. I was kind of hoping we would get to go home early. No such luck.
Last night we watched the Rocky Horror Glee Show. It was okay, but they changed some of the songs. We also saw a little bit of the original Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Saturday Update
Flu shots were quick and painless. Doug came down to my office and got his too. I'm glad that is all done for the year. We even got circus band aids. We had lunch together at the new Rio Cafe downtown. We had fajita salads. Mine was steak and Doug's was chicken. They were actually very good and I needed more than my half hour to really enjoy it.
Roger and company arrived here a little after 6. For some reason they thought we lived on 14th St in Cedar Rapids. Roger took a little visit through the hood looking for us. After that was straightened out, they stopped by to get Curt, he had forgotten and thought they weren't coming until next week. Jessica, Quentin and the little ones also stopped by. We ordered Domino's pizza. Everyone likes the white sauce and spinach pizza. Of course we had to put garden tomatoes on it.
We had little ones running from the day kitchen and through the dining room until just before 9. I think those kids probably slept very well last night. Roger and Luke spent the night here. Luke loves having his own little suite. He was pretending it was his office and he was working. Randy is staying with Curt. Nicole, Andy and the kids are staying at a motel ( I can't remember which one right now.)

Thursday Update
This week is going by pretty quickly. We have been getting ready for company this coming weekend. Rearranged Chloe's room a little last night. I was very sleepy and went to be early. Not much else to blog today.
South Hardin High meets Kool-Aid Man
A woman ran her car into the South Hardin School yesterday. Some students painted the Kool-Aid Man. This will be one for the year book.

Wednesday Update
Two TV parents have died this week Barbara Billingsley (June Cleaver) and Tom Bosley (Howard Cunningham). It makes me feel old. It seems like not long ago, I was young and watching them on TV.
Thomas and Diedre are having a new furnace installed today. They checked it Monday and it was not working. At least they live in a small town and have connections. It sound like they are getting a really good deal on the new furnace. Oh, the joys of home ownership.

Tuesday Update
Yesterday was a good day for me at work. But one of my co-workers received a bomb threat call. He had to go to the police station after work to give details.
Doug cooked a delicious supper of steak, onions & peppers, mushrooms, corn, salad and rolls. Mark and Wanda came over to eat with us. They stayed and watch a little TV with us before going home. After they, almost immediately, Mao started begging for treats. He was a good boy while they were here, so of course I had to give him treats.
