We were going to buy our Halloween pumpkins from Bart's Pumpkin Farm on Albernett Road. However, when we got there the first thing we saw was Bush/Cheney signs in the yard. We still pulled in but decided to go to DrugTown after we saw the prices. $2 for a small pumpkin, $4-$5 for a medium pumkin and $10 or more for a good sized pumpkin. DrugTown has the large pumpkins for $2.50 each. We even got a white pumpkin.
Last night was fairly busy. For supper we had pork chop cooked on the new Weber grill, mashed potatoes, green beans, apple sauce and a salad. It was heavenly.
After supper I baked more Apple Spice Oatmeal Cookies and watched part of 'The Cat in the Hat' with Doug. After the movie Doug mixed up the sangria for todays Soup Sunday meal and he boiled the chicken that he will be using.
Ashley went to a show of several bands at the Nexus. She said they were very loud and only the last band was good.
Well, it's time for breakfast and then I will be baking the Pineapple Upside Down Cake.
